After taking the specific gravities of your beer using the hydrometer, you can use this alcohol calculator to determine the percentage of alcohol in your beer.

1) The Original Gravity is the first reading taken from the wort, just before pitching in the yeast.

2) The Final Gravity is taken when the beer has completed the fermentation, just before you bottle your beer.

3) Taking the readings Without The Decimal Point (eg. 1048) or the  Last Two Digits (eg. 48) from the hydrometer and enter into the calculator.

4) Click the "equal" sign and the percentage alcohol will appear in RED.

Note: The calculated alcohol percentage includes the addition of priming sugar used for bottle conditioning.
